 Ingredients:
For the Avocado Mousse:
2 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
2 tbsp fresh lime juice
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 tsp olive oil
1 small garlic clove, minced
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
For the Topping:
200g (7 oz) smoked salmon, thinly sliced
1 tbsp fresh dill, finely chopped
1 tbsp capers (optional)
1/2 tsp lemon zest
For Serving:
Crackers, crostini, or cucumber slices
Instructions:
Prepare the Avocado Mousse:
In a food processor or blender, combine the avocado, lime juice, heavy cream, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Assemble the Appetizer:
Spoon the avocado mousse into small serving dishes, glasses, or use a piping bag for a neat presentation.
Top each serving with a slice of smoked salmon, a sprinkle of dill, a few capers (if using), and a pinch of lemon zest for brightness.
