Preparation Time: 10-15 minutes
Cooking Time: 30-40 minutes
Canning Time (Optional): 15-20 minutes
Total Time: 55-75 minutes
Ingredients:
4 cups chopped apples (about 4-5 medium-sized apples)
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup water
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions:
Prepare the Apples:
Peel, core, and chop the apples into small pieces.

Cook the Jam:
In a large pot or saucepan, combine the chopped apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, water, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 30-40 minutes, or until the apples are soft and the mixture has thickened.
Add Flavorings:
Stir in the vanilla extract and caramel sauce, mixing until well combined.
Continue to cook for an additional 5-10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the jam to thicken further.
Cool and Store:
Remove the pot from the heat and let the jam cool slightly.
Transfer the caramel apple jam into clean, sterilized jars.
Seal the jars tightly and store them in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
